Patrick did a modelling shoot for compassionate eye foundation in August 2012 it was an educational themed shoot with other children and adults. Patrick loved working with all involved. He has been photographed by La mode and enjoyed this thoroughly; the day consisted of shoots by four different photographers and wardrobe changes.
Patrick recently took part in a non-speaking acting role for a music video. He enjoyed this experience and beamed with confidence which lead to the casting director from this shoot leaving a shining recommendation. Patrick has also recently been cast as one of the main speaking roles in a short film 'four for a boy', which we are hoping to have footage for by the end of September. He enjoyed this experience and is keen to further himself as an actor and again the director left a wonderful recommendation.
3rd September 2012 Patrick was acting in an M&S online autumn coats and Halloween video which he thought was great fun as it was all filmed outside on a farm.

| August 23, 2012 Patrick was cast as one of the leads in our short film ‘Four for a Boy’. It was one of the best decisions the production made. Patrick was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were really impressed with how comfortable and at ease he was on set and in front of the camera. He has incredible enthusiasm and stamina – we had some long shooting days but Patrick’s energy never wavered. He takes direction very well and we were delighted with his ability to improvise when asked. He understands the subtleties required in acting for film and provided a very naturalistic performance. Patrick has a bright future ahead of him in acting, and we highly recommend him for any production. |
| Patrick is a lovely boy with a delightful presence on set. He was energetic and professional, even arriving 15 mins early for the music video shoot. For his first go at acting, he was very good and listened to us all the time. The shoot went on longer than expected but despite this, he was patient and still enthusiastic for acting. He gave us every thing we could ask of him and more and worked so well with the other child actors showing he's a sociable person who isn't afraid of meeting new people. I would definitely recommend Patrick if you want someone who is dedicated, professional, spirited and fun at the same time. |

I just wanted to pass on my sincere thanks for your advice and guidance since my original visit to La Mode in December 2011. As a result of our on-going discussions and your continued support, I have promoted myself and, as such have:-
(1) Modelled jewellery for The British Legion;
(2) Worked with a local female photographer on a TFP basis to gain experience, update my portfolio, and work on this project with the photographer in researching ‘poses’ and specific ‘looks;
(3) Set up my profile on the ‘Star Now’ website and, as such, been shortlisted for a film (although I was unable to attend due to the dates) and more recently been contacted by a photographer in Oxford for an ongoing web-site project/story line;
(4) Secured an interview/audition with Base Models
(5) Been accepted by Anthony Burge Management onto their books;
You have ‘propelled’ me in the right direction and, although it is a long, hard, slog and I am consistently putting myself forward, I am sure that once I have that ‘one lucky break’, I will move forwards fast!

My life has changed since July 2012 – BIG TIME!!!! With no aspirations of being a model at 58 and only 5’ 2” I went to the La Mode studios and spent a day with them. After a wonderful day of being made up, hair being styled, photos taken by four lovely photographers, the result were life changing! I now have my own portfolio website, compiled by La Mode www.JaneWaters-model.co.uk and I have registered with casting websites, have my Facebook page, business cards and started applying for jobs. After only a month I was invited in for two castings on the same day. I nervously went for both and was shortlisted to the final three in the first one and actually selected in the second. Needless to say that has given me confidence to do more. Unfortunately at the last minute, shooting was cancelled for the one I was selected for, and rearranged to a date I couldn’t make so I haven’t benefited from that experience, which was disappointing but I am fast learning that these things happen in the media world. Later in August I received an e-mail asking me to be a contestant in the new series of Restyle which will be made by Levant TV this autumn. So far I have had my teeth whitened and been filmed doing my hobby of horse riding and being at home cooking for what turned out to be an indoor BBQ for a dozen friends on the same day! I have a lot of pampering sessions lined up for me for this programme so I wait to see what will be next, however the 360° mirror session is not something I am looking forward to! I have also been asked to take part in a Charity Fashion Show in Oct for our local M & Co. It may only be local but all good experience. I shall also be starting rehearsals for Beauty and the Beast– The Kelvedon Players. These last two items are only comparatively small but I take heart from the fact that from little acorns, and many of our well known artistes of all kinds, did their apprenticeships in small venues and it is all good experience. As I work full time, over the next few months I am currently just doing the programme, charity show and panto as I also have other things on my list of things to do, such as having more photos taken, and building on my portfolio so it is quite a juggling act. I just need one or two of those precious ‘big jobs’ and the day job can be forgotten but for now it is early days and I have a lot to learn. La Mode are great with this. They are always there for advice either by e-mail or directly on the phone. As a ‘new girl on the block’ I have often sought out advice and always taken heed of what they say. Theirs is a wealth of experience which can be used to full advantage. La Mode also have a modelling academy which I hope to attend next year. This should be full of great tips for new girls and even refreshing advice for those who have been in the industry for a while.
I have a lot to thank La Mode for. I hope to continue my positive start. Wish I had done it long ago, but as we can’t go back in time, I shall now make the most of it, and see what 2013 brings ?
Helen, we certainly didn't expect any more kindness!! What a wonderful surprise and how exciting!! Will so look forward to the postie's arrival and we will love our collage - I think we are both a bit vain and love having our pictures taken by such great photographers and having the great results ........THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH.
Hope the move into the new offices went well, always takes a deal of organising, but worth the effort in the end.

Jade Brown - This was my first experience as an extra, I enjoyed my day and learn't from it. La Mode was very helpful with regards to ensuring I have all the information I needed prior to going to the location, I felt very supported.

La Mode arranged a casting for me as an extra. I had never done this before, but they sent accurate details through about the venue and the person I was to report to, in good time, so I had no anxiety about where to go and who to ask for. Everyone there was very nice. La Mode management came down to see us during the course of the day to make sure everything was fine and to give us support. By then I had found out that there were 3 other La Mode extras on site. We were treated very well during the course of the day, with lovely bacon butties and croissants in the morning, a delicious Indian lunch, sandwiches in the afternoon and refreshments throughout the day. It was a nice experience as I had the opportunity to chat to several other colleagues who were also extras. The day passed very pleasantly with all our activity coming at the end of the day, when I was required in a night club scene and then again in the final fight scene. That bit was very exciting and it was great finding out just how these things are done!

I would like to thank you all in Lamode London for all your help and support. Since I had my shooting experience in January It has made me realise that this enviroment is where I want to be.
The premiun package at Lamode has helped me because with it i have my own portfolio, web site, lots of photos taken, a very good experience and all your help to get some jobs, for example the photo shoot for Clarks publicity last month and the filming pilot as an extra this weekend. The filming pilot as an extra will be a really good opportunity for me to gain further experience in the modeling and filming industry which hopefully will progress my career further.
I am very excited about all the opportunities coming my way and I hope this continues.

After my photoshoot with La Mode I feel so much more confident! The team were very nice, I got on well with everyone there! They made me feel comfortable in front of the camera and also made it a very fun and practical day! I would LOVE to do another shoot and keep in touch with the team! I used my pictures from La Mode to sign up to a competition 'Natural Beauty 2012 by Top Model UK' and I got through! I am now a grand finalist! Thank you La Mode!!

I contacted La Mode, London, after a good friend cajoled me into doing something to 'get my confidence back', as life had been a little traumatic over the past 18 months. Due to his 'advice', I contacted La Mode, looking for an agency dealing with mature models (I am 41) and this is what happened:-
1. Within a day I was contacted by Kirstie @ La Mode to secure a photo shooting.
2. I attended a photo shoot on Sunday 18 December 2011 - fantastic experience and, being the oldest female attending, I felt pretty damned good after my photo shoot! The make-up and hair professionals were brilliant; Andrea (stylist) extremely supportive; and Charlotte and Helen superb with their support.
3. Helen looked at my photos whilst passing and suggested catalogue modelling and, along with Lyndsey, suggested my photos be put forward for a catalogue casting.
4. The following Tuesday I received a phone call to say I had been successful and would I attend a casting for a catalogue commercial on Wednesday 4th January 2012?
Now, whilst I await the outcome of my 'casting audition', it has definitely been a worthwhile experience and given me the confidence to 'go for it' in the New Year! After all, you have to be in it to win it!!!
My special thanks go to Helen, Lyndsey and Patrick - the photographer who did my first two sets of photos; he made me feel relaxed, at ease and captured the best shots throughout the morning! My Patrick, your photos are my 'tool' for 'onwards and upwards'; they have given me the confidence to continue to pursue the modelling, either part-time or as an extra interest!!

"I arrived at La Mode around 1pm where i was greeted by friendly and helpfull staff ,, it was quite busy in there but I was attended to straight away, i had to sit and wait for a while but the staff were always making sure i was ok and the atmosphere in there was good , after a while i had my make up and hair done for my 1st two shoots , i really enjoyed my shoots and poseing Lol , my third shot i had my make up re done and my hair styled totally different to how i would do it myself but i had faith in the stylist and just went with the look , the photographer i had made me feel very comfortable and confident and i went on to have to more shoots , after this we got to view our pictures which were amazing and i was happy with the way they turned out , i enjoyed my day extremely
